Let’s Nail HIV Stigma 2020

We had many plans for 2020, unfortunately the Covid-19 pandemic had plans of it’s own which forced us to postpone our events until 2021.
We did however manage to run a very successful online event, our ‘Let’s Nail HIV Stigma’ campaign. Check out some of the lovey photos below.

LET’S NAIL HIV STIGMA CAMPAIGN 2020

The campaign was for secondary schools, workplaces, social groups and anyone who wanted to take part. The aim was to get as many people as possible to paint a finger nail Red on Monday 30th November and over the week of World AIDS DAY on Tuesday 1st December.
As part of the campaign we encouraged people to talk to friends, family and work colleagues about why they painted their nail Red thus raising awareness to a greater number of people.
We also encouraged people to share pictures on their social media platforms, again raising awareness of HIV with the hashtag #LetsNailHIVStigma
In 2019 the North East was the first area to have a ‘Let’s Nail HIV Stigma’ Campaign.
